What is a Diplomat?
A Diplomat is a University of Michigan Credit Union member who volunteers his/her time to help other members and potential members learn more about the products and services we have to offer. 

What does a Diplomat do?

Diplomats do whatever they can do to promote the use of credit union services:

  • Show co-workers how to join the credit union.
  • Have brochures and information available.
  • Answer basic questions about the credit union.
  • Relay information or questions between the credit union and its members.

Who can be a Diplomat?
Any UMCU member in good standing is eligible to become a Diplomat.  We are primarily looking for Diplomats located in University buildings with a large staff or student population or in other companies not currently represented by a Diplomat. Student Diplomats for dormitories, co-op houses, sororities, etc. are especially welcome.
